Rate cards
Billing → Rate Cards defines what your services charge. Every amount on every consignment starts here.
The list
Search rate cards finds them by name, and there's a Filter by service beside it.
Creating one
Click New Rate Card and set a name, the service it belongs to, and the pricing rules.
Rate cards attach to services — which card a service uses is configured on the service; see the services page in the settings chapter.
Changing prices carefully
Change a rate card and billing generated afterwards uses the new price. Existing billing is not recalculated.
So the right order for a price change is:
- settle the billing that should go out at the old price;
- change the rate card;
- later goods price at the new rate.
Deleting
Rate cards can be deleted. Check no service still uses one first, or that service can no longer price its goods.
Permissions
Changing rate cards needs the separate Rate Cards permission. Someone with billing access can read billing and raise invoices without being able to touch pricing.
